Las Vegas: Viva Las Vegas

10 Nov

Considered to be one of Elvis’ best performances on the silver screen, Viva Las Vegas was released in 1964 and paired the hip swiveling heart throb with the famous Ann-Margaret. The King plays Lucky Jackson, a race car driver who goes to city of sin to participate in the Grand Prix. Unfortunately, his sweet ride breaks down. He manages to raise the money to fix it gambling, but then loses when he gets distracted by the harlot Miss Rusty Martin (Ann-Margaret). Lucky also has to deal with Count Elmo Mancini, a rival both on the track AND for Miss Martin’s affections! (Insert dramatic music).

It’s a musical, so I’m sure all ends well. Look for lots more of these Vegas themed posts over the next couple of days by the way!
