Firefighters Watch House Burn Over $75

5 Oct

This just makes me angry. In Obion County, Tennessee you need to pay $75 every year if you want to be able to use the services offered by the county fire department. One family didn’t pay, and when their house caught fire, the firefighters let it burn. The family offered to pay the $75 or whatever was necessary to prevent their livelihood from going up and smoke, but the fire chief basically said tough shit you should have paid when you had the chance. WTF REALLY? You’re going to let someones entire life be destroyed over $75? This is definitely one of those “what is the world coming to” moments.

But here’s Usher to calm you down…

(Despite what it looks like, the above video is not porn I promise…)

(Also see what I did here?)

i can’t even believe that; first a fee to use the fire dept AND THEN them denying them still, ridiculous and terribly rude.

I believe rude is an understatement my dear…

That’s messed up! If they had a conscience they would have just done there damn job and helped those people out. I’m sure if it was their house and they hadn’t paid the $75 they still would have put the fire out.

I know the article says not to blame the firefighters because they aren’t the ones who made the rules but that’s bull… you are absolutely correct when you say that if those men had consciences they would have put the fire out anyway!!!
